How to control the tension of rivets
All rivets are known to have exceptionally reasonable tolerances. Therefore, the tolerances are different, and the natural properties are different, and the two main factors affecting the tensile force are the wall thickness and cap thickness of the rivet. Generally speaking, the thicker the wall thickness of the rivet and the thicker the cap, the greater the pulling force. To stabilize the pulling force, it is necessary to control the tolerance range of these two dimensions. The smaller the tolerance, the more stable the pulling force. Of course, many professionals may not know that there is another important factor that affects the pulling force of the rivet, that is, the oil stains left on the rivet. When the rivets are produced from the machine, there are oil stains on them. At this time, they are still a semi-finished product and usually cannot be used. They must be cleaned accordingly before they can be used as cleaning products. If they are not cleaned, there will be residues on them. Oil stains, the more residual oil stains, the smaller the pulling force of the rivet. Therefore, if the rivet’s dimensional tolerance is checked and the pulling force is still unstable, then it has not been cleaned. Therefore, it is not a big problem to say that the rivet’s pulling force is unstable. !
