Q: How to select the right dowel pin fit type?

There are mainly two fit types:

1. Standard fit

Standard fit, also called slip fit or clearance fit, means the standard fit dowel pins fit smoothly into the hole with little to no friction.

2. Oversized fit

Oversized fit, also called press fit or interference fit, are slightly larger than the hole.
