Cylindrical rollers TR type are hardened according to DIN 5402-1.

 

Data:

3.50 x 3.70 mm - Material: SAE 52100, 100Cr6

Hardness: between 58 and 65 HRC

 

Cylindrical rollers made from this material have excellent surface finish, excellent hardness and high load carrying capacity. They are also dimensionally stable and show very little wear. The cylindrical rollers are not magnetic, but can be attracted by magnets.

 

The TR type is with ground ends, both ends should be ground.

Dowel size

After materials, dowel size is the other main specification that manufacturers need to consider.

 

The outer diameter is the measurement of the edge that forms the width of the dowel.

Length is a measure of the pin's longest cross-section.

Most pins produced are of the direct pin variety. Dowels may have a diameter tolerance of ± 0.010 inches compared to their nominal size. This tolerance ensures that the pins fit loosely or press-fit into their corresponding holes. A pin is considered a "parallel pin" if it has two separate tolerances on each end.
