Stainless Steel Spring Pins

Stainless steel spring pins range in diameter from 1.5 mm (0.062") to 20 mm (0.750"). Standard materials include high carbon steel, 302/304 nickel (austenitic) stainless steel, and 420 chrome (martensitic) stainless steel. Additionally, 6150 alloy steel is available in diameters greater than 12 mm (0.500").

Coiled spring pins are available in light duty, standard, and heavy duty options to meet the strength and flexibility required for each application. A pin that is too strong for the applied load may not bend and could potentially damage the hole, while pins that are too flexible may fatigue prematurely within the assembly. Coiled pins with the optimal balance of strength, flexibility, and diameter will extend the life of the assembly.

In general, our heavy duty coiled pins are recommended for hardened materials where design constraints limit the use of larger diameter standard coiled pins.
